Our May 1-8, 2018 adventure was another one for the books!

This was a special week... it celebrated Whitney's 40th birthday in style, and among friends. She wanted something special for herself one year prior to this week, and she made it happen. With her determination and head on her showgirls, she transformed herself in 2017 and 2018, by moving to Portland Oregon, buying a home, turning the big and wonderful 4-0, and by celebrating among friends in Rome!

The group met in Rome on May 1st. I was already in place, waiting for all to arrive. We celebrated the arrival over a pitcher of delicious local white wine in a wonderful little bar near Campo De Fiori in central Rome, and then we walked to our flat. The flat was wonderful! Large and spacious and central to everything (which is my goal for DivoraRoma... to have a central location with plenty of room for each traveler to have privacy when not in group activities). Piazza Morgana is one of the most quiet and loveliest piazze in Rome and it was our home for the week, right around the corner from the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum not to mention Piazza Venezia and Trajan's Theater). Truly beautifully located, walking distance from it all!

We celebrated Whitney's milestone birthday by participating in dinners, lunches, out of Rome excursions to vineyards, participating in cooking classes with my wonderful and trusted local Chefs, and we had plenty of quality time on our own for our own exploration.
